Primary Responsibility: To perform all necessary tasks required to service and maintain the two occupational school buildings, the Administration Building, and related structures.

Typical Duties:   

  • Sets up conference rooms (room arrangements, coffee, tea, ice, etc.)
  • Cleans and touches up walls, when needed
  • Shovels, plows and salts walks, driveways and parking areas as appropriate
  • Dusts furniture as required
  • Cleans and disinfects lavatory floors and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains
  • Washes all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice annually or more frequently, if necessary.
  • Assists, as needed, to keep the grounds free from rubbish
  • Keeps all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state or preservation
  • Cleans conference room chalkboards, as required
  • Reports major repairs needed promptly to the Director of Operations & Maintenance.
  • Remains on school premises during school hours and after school hours when the use of the building has been authorized or when attendance is required by the Director of Operations & Maintenance
  • Moves furniture or equipment as required within or between buildings and/or as directed by the Director of Operations & Maintenance
  • Strip, scrub, seal, refinish, and burnish floors according to schedule utilizing specialized equipment
  • Shampoo, spot clean, and sanitize carpet and upholstery according to schedule utilizing specialized equipment
  • Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste
  • Performs other related duties as requested by the Director of Operations & Maintenance.

 

 

$10.40 to $12.00/ hour
