Primary Responsibility: To perform all necessary tasks required to service and maintain the two occupational school buildings, the Administration Building, and related structures.

Typical Duties:   

  • Sets up conference rooms (room arrangements, coffee, tea, ice, etc.)
  • Cleans and touches up walls, when needed
  • Shovels, plows and salts walks, driveways and parking areas as appropriate
  • Dusts furniture as required
  • Cleans and disinfects lavatory floors and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains
  • Washes all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice annually or more frequently, if necessary.
  • Assists, as needed, to keep the grounds free from rubbish
  • Keeps all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state or preservation
  • Cleans conference room chalkboards, as required
  • Reports major repairs needed promptly to the Director of Operations & Maintenance.
  • Remains on school premises during school hours and after school hours when the use of the building has been authorized or when attendance is required by the Director of Operations & Maintenance
  • Moves furniture or equipment as required within or between buildings and/or as directed by the Director of Operations & Maintenance
  • Strip, scrub, seal, refinish, and burnish floors according to schedule utilizing specialized equipment
  • Shampoo, spot clean, and sanitize carpet and upholstery according to schedule utilizing specialized equipment
  • Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste
  • Performs other related duties as requested by the Director of Operations & Maintenance.
$10.40 to $12.00/ hour
Cleaners-Two (2) F-T positions, 12 months/yr., Eff. ASAPO&M/Cleaners-1/24/19

Work Days/Hours:  Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Primary Responsibility: To perform all necessary cleaning tasks required to service and maintain all the Monroe 2-Orleans locations.  General cleaning of buildings and grounds.  Dressed in approved uniform.  Ready to begin at 3:00 pm.

Requirements/Duties:   

  1. Current Driver's License
  2. Ability to lift 50 pounds
  3. Ability to execute a cleaning route in order to complete all tasks associated with schedule. Maintaining cleaning equipment and cleaning cart with stocked supplies in order to be efficient in meeting cleaning expectations.
  4. Remove and dispose of trash into an exterior dumpster.
  5. Collect recyclables and place in correct receptacles.
  6. Cleaning and disinfecting restroom fixtures, floors, sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains.
  7. Cleaning of Life Safety Equipment i.e.: Eye wash stations Safety showers
  8. Cleaning of all hallways, classrooms and shops, spot cleaning of walls and doors, high and low dusting, sweeping a mopping of floors, table tops and chairs and all fixtures .i.e.: sinks, drinking fountains.
  9. Maintain floors i.e.: dusting, sweeping and mopping. Vacuuming of carpets, floor matting, window ledges, etc. using Floor units or Backpack units.
  10. Clean windows exterior and interior, classroom windows mirrors etc
  11. Conference room clean including room setup or tear down, refreshment setup, or returns.
  12. Move furniture or equipment as required within or between buildings and/or as directed by the Director of Operations & Maintenance.
  13. Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste.
  14. Performs other related duties as requested by the Director of Operations & Maintenance.
  15. Report major repairs needed promptly to the Working Forman or an e-mail to the Director of Operations & Maintenance.
