Job Description

Support ELL students in Regional Summer School in collaboration with content area teachers.

Program Dates:

• July 2 & 3, seven (7) hours per day
• July 10, Staff only, seven (7) hours
• July 14- August 18, four (4) hours per day (no school 7/11, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1)
• August 19 & 20 seven (7) hours per day, proctoring and scoring exams
• August 21, hourly, as determined by summer school principal
• Must be able to work all dates

TYPICAL DUTIES:

1. Modify lessons for ELL students in collaboration with content teacher.
2. Work with teachers to understand the needs of ELL students.
3. Collaborate with administration to create optimal student schedules.
4. Provide necessary test accommodations for assessments.
5. Collaborate with testing coordinator and home schools to identify interpreters for exams.
6. Establish and maintain home contact with families with limited, or no English-speaking ability.
7. Perform other such duties as may be assigned by the Regional Summer School site principal.

Job Qualifications

Educational:     Appropriate NYS Teacher certification required.
