Job Description
  • Assist administration in spring after school programs and summer programs at the WEMOCO CTE Center including Summer at the Center (half day summer camp for middle school students) and Summer Advanced Manufacturing Experience (SAME), serving approximately 200 students in grades 6-12. Assist in planning phases of summer programming including pre-registration, registration, supervision of students, courses and instructional programs for summer programs, communication and coordination with parents and families. Programming runs from July 7 to August 15. Preregistration begins in the spring and additional time will be required at the close of summer programs.
  • The anticipated start date is Mid-March. Schedule through June 30 will be 1 day per week 3:00pm-8:30pm on either a Tuesday or Thursday to provide support and supervision for after school programs at the CTE Center (some flexibility with start and end times).
  • Summer hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-3:00pm from July 1-August 15.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Assist with after school programming at CTE Center (through June 30).
  • Prior to the start of summer programming (through July 3):
    • Provide support in information sessions, marketing, and recruitment for programming
    • Assist in student registration, student selection, communication, and scheduling, including ensuring all students have been medically cleared
    • Assist site administration with staff and room assignments
    • Coordinate with administration, operations & maintenance, and security to prepare for program set-up.
  • Assist in the completion of documentation, data collection and reporting or necessary paperwork necessary to secure or respond to grant funding
  • Assist with coordination of programs, including greeting and guiding students to programs
  • Assist site administration in the supervision of instructional and support personnel
  • Support special events hosted throughout the summer, including communications with various teams and coordinating visitors
  • Assist CWD and CTE administration in preparation for the new school year
  • Assist in managing matters relating to and affecting discipline of students
  • Assist with various aspects of summer programs as designated by the site administration
Job Qualifications

Experience:     Preference is given to BOCES and component district staff.

Educational:    Master's degree and candidate who qualifies for a Certificate of Internship.
