The Audiometric Technician travels to schools within districts and acts as a liaison between teachers, students and the Audiologist. S(he) is responsible for obtaining/maintaining FM/DM equipment and other assistive listening devices, maintaining an inventory of equipment/repair data, and providing direction to classroom staff and students regarding use and maintenance FM/DM Hearing Assistive Technology.
The Audiometric Technician works the direct supervision of a licensed Audiologist.

Must possess or meet Civil Service requirements for title of Audiometric Technician: Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology or a closely related field, Associate’s and 2 years full time experience working one-one with children or as a health aide, and/or three years full time experience as an Audiometric Aide. Must possess valid New York State Driver’s License
