Assess, revise, and develop lesson plans for teaching general woodworking, set daily objectives, provide lecture and on activities and assessments.
Topics include: the fundamentals of woodworking, proper function and use of tools, wood working techniques, proper finishing, and general phases in the development and design of wood working projects from bird houses and childrens’ toys to tables and chairs.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Knowledge of general woodworking, finish carpentry, and power tools. Candidate should possess relevant industry certifications. Teaching experience preferred but not necessarily required.
Must be able to use computers for grade management, e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet applications and other applications necessary to fulfill the requirements of the position.
