Job Description

Assist Work Based learning (WBL) Coordinators, Administration and CTE Teachers with Outreach, Career Awareness and Exploration Activities, Communications and Industry Aligned/Technical Assessment administration. 

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  1. Coordinate ongoing communications, promotion, and outreach (displays, photos, print materials, electronic communications, social media, data and information collection and analysis, facilitate activities and programs) in collaboration with CaTS staff, Administration, WBL Coordinators and/or Counselors.
  2. Manage Student Ambassador recruitment, training and activities.
  3. Maintain CTE program information so that it is publicly available and accessible.
  4. Promote CTE programs to all potential participants.
  5. Actively recruit underrepresented students.
  6. Conduct outreach activities.
  7. Assist with coordinating partnerships.
  8. Assist with Industry Aligned/Technical Assessment activities (scheduling, ordering, distributing, proctoring, assistive technology, etc.)
  9. Assist WBL Coordinators with providing timely information on regional occupational trends and outlook.
  10. Support the maintenance of job search information and placement services.
  11. Assist WBL Coordinator with WBL activities i.e., conduct site visits, attend field trips.
  12. Assist with student career exploration and planning.
  13. Support current and new grants, supper programs aligned with career awareness/exploration.
  14. Complete all other duties assigned by administration.
  15. Manage CTE (WEMOCO) logo wear and other outreach and promotional materials.
Civil Service Title
Office Clerk III or IV (Competitive)
Job Qualifications

Must possess or meet the requirements for Civil Service title Office Clerk III or IV

Clerk III - High School diploma and 2 years paid full-time or part-time or volunteer equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience; or an Associate’s degree in Secretarial Science, Office Technology or a closely related field.

OR

Clerk IV - Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.

 

Experience working with high school special education students preferred.

Ability to assist students, staff, educators and community partners with career awareness and exploration.  Skills necessary to conduct outreach and career awareness/exploration activities.  Efficient computer and organizational skills and strong communication skills required.  WBL Coordinator Certification and business/industry experience preferred but not required.  Some college required.
