Job Description

The Human Resources Clerk is responsible for a variety of tasks in the department including processing tuition reimbursement, entering daily attendance and reconciling health insurance billing.     


  1. Processes tuition reimbursement for staff
  2. Codes and enters daily attendance reports for the Department for Exceptional Children
  3. Reconciles health insurance billing statements through Benefit Solver
  4. Runs Enhanced Reporting on tuition reimbursement and leaves, as necessary
  5. Completes data entry for Regional Summer School Program and Extended School Year Program
  6. Tracks and enters retiree health insurance payments
  7. Acts as back-up customer support for On-line Web Recruitment
  8. Files paperwork for on call and contractual employees
  9. Completes WinCap data entry on employee recommendation forms for substitutes and non-competitive positions
  10. Signs out personnel files for department supervisors
  11. Packages, organizes and labels all personnel files for on-call employees, closed contractual files and unapproved employee paperwork at end of school year and prepares drawers for new school year personnel files
Civil Service Title
Office Clerk III or Personnel Clerk (Competitive)
Job Qualifications

Two years full-time experience in office clerical or secretarial experience or an Associate’s degree in Secretarial Science, Office Technology or a closely related field; or 30 semester credit hours plus one year full-time clerical experience in personnel or payroll activities; or two years full-time office clerical experience in personnel or payroll activities
