AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Preparing and delivering instructional material to assist students' learning.
  • Develop/follow course curriculum, syllabus, lesson plans and assessments aligned to industry standards.
  • Use a variety instructional strategies to properly monitor and assess student performance.
  • Order student textbooks, supplies, materials and equipment necessary.
  • Use relevant technology to support instruction.
  • Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
  • Providing appropriate feedback during instruction.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records of student attendance and progress throughout the course.
  • Monitor employment tracking of students and assist in collecting placement data.
  • Provide appropriate safety training.
  • Assist with program recruitment.
  • Maintain all safety standards as mandated by the BOCES 2 organization
  • Performing other duties as requested

ADULT EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR - CNC MACHININGCWD/Mach-4/25/22

Part-time positions with flexible day/evening hours.

Provide quality instruction in the fundamentals of advanced manufacturing and core concepts governing the proper operation of machining equipment and computer-related software.

  • Prepare daily lesson plans and hands-on projects for the practical application of the curriculum
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress
  • Provide individual and group instruction in the implementation of the job training curriculum
  • Prepare pre/post tests and performance evaluations for students at the completion of each unit
  • Order student textbooks, supplies, materials and equipment necessary for the implementation for the job training program
  • Effective supervision of students
  • Maintain and modify curriculum to remain current and up to date
  • Work with the CWD support staff in meeting the instructional and workforce expectations for each adult student enrolled the program and to remain within the standards of the Council on Occupational Education
  • Maintain all safety standards as mandated by OSHA and the BOCES 2 organization
  • Monitor work-based experience activities at designated facilities
  • Monitor employment tracking of students
  • Consistent and effective program recruitment

To provide quality instruction in the fundamentals of welding, including Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) MIG, Shielded Metal Arc and Flux Shielded Arc Welding (SMAW/FSAW) Stick, Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (GTAW) TIG.

  • Preparing and delivering instructional material to assist students' learning.

Per Diem; Days/Evenings 

Monitor and assist students in a skilled nursing facility, helping them to gain the knowledge and skills necessary for successful certification as a Nursing Assistant, according to state regulations.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Supervise the clinical experience at designated facilities
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress
  • Effective supervision of students
  • Assist in the development of the clinical instruction schedule for the student.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the clinical experience with the Nurse Assistant program instructor.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by the Nurse Assistant program instructor.
